But, unbeknownst to Fenton, the show was planning to tape a show in the Bay Area in 2006. Nine months passed and the e-mail exchange was forgotten. Fenton later said the water pressure was "an irritant, but not awful" and certainly not bad enough to call a plumber. Hoping for some help, Fenton fired off an e-mail. He remembered that each episode of "Ask This Old House" ends with an invitation to viewers to send an e-mail about their house problem.
